Islamic Workshops for Years 2 & 6

On Wednesday 22nd May, we welcomed representatives from the Muslim Women of Merton school’s project to deliver a workshop to Year 2 and Year 6. The workshops supported and enhanced our learning that has been taking place in religious education lessons this term.

The women talked to us about what being a Muslim means to them. They talked about the importance of prayer and what leading a good life looks like. We were allowed to handle a range of artefacts and enjoyed making Eid cards.

The visitors were really impressed with the children’s level of knowledge and the questions that they asked.
