Tuesday 3 June 2025 Purley Library visits for Years 1 and 4 Year One and Four children went on an adventure to Purley Library. They had a fantastic time exploring the different types of books in the library, how they are organised and sharing books with each other. They enjoyed listening to the librarian read them all a story.Below are some photos of their wonderful experience.Thanks to Mrs Wright for organising these visits.

Friday 16 May 2025 Key Speaker from the BBC - Journalist Mrs Neha Aggarwal Years 2-6 were very lucky this morning as we had a very special visitor come to the school. A parent - who happens to be a BBC journalist - came to speak to the children about her profession and how she got into it. Thank you to Ishaan and Anish’s mum for doing this. The children asked some insightful and thought provoking questions. Thank you to Mrs Cock for organising this.

Wednesday 14 May 2025 Field Visit Y2 to Purley Today we went on a geography field trip to Purley! We had to read a map and identify human and physical features along the way. It was pretty hot but the ice lollies cooled us down nicely! Finally we got the train back from Purley to Reedham, our local station. It was a great day out and the children were very well behaved! Thank you to Chloe’s and Zakaria’s mums who came and helped on the trip! Mrs Cock.

Friday 4 April 2025 Scooter / Bike Day for Y2 Today we enjoyed our scooter / bike day which was part of our RSHE learning about road safety. We had a carousel of three activities: 1. riding our scooters / bikes safely; 2. being a traffic marshal and checking that those who we riding did so safely and 3. carrying out an experiment to learn why wearing a helmet is so important! We had a really enjoyable afternoon!

Friday 4 April 2025 Easter Egg Hunt The annual Easter Egg Hunt took place in the Upper School garden. Each class searched for an egg which in turn turned into a real chocolcate one at the end of the day. Thank you to Friends of Beaumont for your very kind and generous donations once again.

Thursday 3 April 2025 Year Six visited Bough Beech Reservoir (Flow Zone) Y6 visited Bough Beech Reservoir and we started in the Education Rooms where we met the tutors for the day - Lisa and Chris.They discussed the importance of the water cycle as a basis to begin with and how SES water treatment processes work on a daily basis here at Flow Zone. At the water treatment plant we saw some of the dead fish which have been caught in the filtering process! A fantastic trip! Check out the website below for more information.

Tuesday 1 April 2025 Multi Skills Inter House Competition A fun 🤩 day in the 🌞 with Mrs May from the Sports Partnership-well done to every year group (R-6), who showed off their Sporting Skills in their Houses- Mr Rosenthal 👏👍

Thursday 20 March 2025 Year 4 visit the Docklands Museum in London A fantastic day 🌞 on the river and at the Docklands Museum. We added to our knowledge of the History of the Thames and London’s Docks. That included the history of trading and life during wartime. On our boat 🚤 journey we pictured Jim (from Street Child) loading and unloading coal from The Lily 🚤 and living his life on the river. 🙏 to parents and staff who supported this trip.

Wednesday 19 March 2025 Muslim Women of Merton Schools Project Today we welcomed back to Beaumont Rifat and Fareeda from the ‘Muslim Women of Merton Schools Project’. All the classes attended one of their assemblies where they talked to the children about Ramadan and Eid. Rifat and Fareeda explained what Muslims do during the time of Ramadan and how Eid is celebrated. The children asked and answered questions beautifully, as well as participated enthusiastically in the quizzes.

Thursday 13 March 2025 RHS Wisley Year One Visit Dear Parents,Year One Children went on a trip to RHS Wisely today and they had an amazing time with lots of learning and creativity.

Thursday 13 March 2025 Croydon Wellbeing Mark awarded to Beaumont Primary School The Croydon Wellbeing Mark is awarded to schools who show a commitment to prioritising the wellbeing of their school community. The Wellbeing Mark considers 5 commitments, including: the creation of a pledge, prioritising wellbeing at their school; the completion of an audit to identify areas for development; attending specific CPD linked to wellbeing, the creation of wellbeing champions within the education setting and finally, committing to the completion of local surveys to inform future priorities for the borough. The Croydon Education Partnership is committed to ensuring that those working and attending education establishments are happy, well and able to meet their full potential.

Wednesday 12 March 2025 Pizza Kits - Buy your own delicious pizza kit from FOBs! Dear Parents, Carers & Staff,Friends of Beaumont are proud to announce that we have become a Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) and we are making steps towards becoming a registered Charity!We are holding our first DIY Pizza kit event on Friday 28th March! Please use the link below to order your pizzas and desserts and support us, they are easy to make and a fun activity for the whole family. This will be the first time we have sold pizza kits and also the first time we are using PTA events, so we would like your feedback afterwards.Please use your eldest child’s name and class in the Booking Field.The make at home pizza kits will be distributed on the lower playground at 3.10pm on Friday 28th March, last orders are needed by 19th March.All money raised will go towards our new School Library!If your child attends after school clubs or Griffins on Friday, the kits will be handed to them at 3.15pm. Tuesday 11 March 2025 Science Day 2025 - The Science of Sound We had an exciting visit from a scientist today. We had fascinating explanations about how animals adapt to their environments and had a go at designing our own animal! We also learnt about some amazing inventions.

Thursday 6 March 2025 Alice in Wonderland Performance for World Book Day 2025 Alice in Wonderland - what a lovely afternoon performance to celebrate World Book Day here at Beaumont Primary School! Y6 had a irk shop at the end to discuss with them all about theatre productions.

Wednesday 5 March 2025 Author Karen Inglis visits Beaumont as part of World Book Day! What an amazing event to celebrate World Book Day for 2025!Thanks go to FOBs for funding this memorable day. The staff have always wanted to welcome an author into our school and for this to come true today was magical. Children going up to Karen Ingliss and saying to her that they would one day want to become an author and how much they love reading is very, very special for a teacher to witness.Mr Hatton

Thursday 30 January 2025 Young Leaders 2025 - Y5 Lower School festival of Sports Young Leaders - Festival with Years 1 + 2Super fun and great leadership experience for our year 5 class. As year 5 have now completed their training, weekly Young Leader sessions at lunchtimes will be rolled out for years 1-3 as soon as possible.Mr Hatton
