School Dinners
Our school meals service is run by Olive Dining with whom we work closely to ensure we offer the highest quality meals and service.
Children are offered a three week menu cycle, which is always comprised of our children’s favourite meals and some new dishes. The menu changes on a termly basis and, where possible, tries to incorporate seasonal produce. The menus are rigorously checked by dieticians at Olive Dining to ensure they are nutritionally balanced across the week. Each day, there are two hot meal options (one of which is always vegetarian), accompanying vegetables, salad and desserts, including fresh fruit.

For this academic year (2024-2025), the Mayor of London has arranged for all primary school children in London to have a free lunch. Therefore all pupils at Beaumont Primary School from Reception to Year 6 are entitled to a free school meal every day.
Beaumont has its own kitchen and all meals are cooked on the premises daily. Beaumont Primary is a 'nut free' school. Children may choose either to have a school meal or a home packed lunch. The school meal provides a choice of a hot or cold menu, with salad bar.
If there is any reason why your child cannot eat a particular food, then a note to this effect should be sent to the school office and then your child will be offered an alternative choice.

Summer Term Allergy Free Olive Menu
Paying for School Meals
School meals are free for all children this academic year. We encourage all of our parents/carers to take advantage of this. The meals are cooked on site in the school kitchen.
Please find the menus on this page and discuss these with your child/ren. It is the parent/carers responsibility to keep all medical and allergy information up to date with the school office and should you wish to discuss any of the menus regarding allergy information please contact our catering manager via the school office.
Free School Meals
Although all primary school children are entitled (2024-2025) to a universal free school meal, parents/carers might be eligible for additional funding, e.g. holiday vouchers. Please use the eligibility checker to see if you qualify for this additional support.
Free meals are dependent upon financial circumstances and forms are also available from the school office.
Croydon Council has an online service which enables parents/carers to check their eligibility for free school meals. This self-service option is available at: https://pps.lgfl.org.uk/
All you need to do is enter your name, date of birth, national insurance number, address and child’s details. If you are eligible the school is notified.
Even if your child does not wish to have a school meal but is still entitled, PLEASE register as the school receives funding for each child entitled to free meals.
Your child may be eligible if you have claimed one of the following benefits within the last 6 years:
- Universal Credit
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The Guarantee element of the State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you have not received working tax credit and have an income of less than £16,190)
Nut Free School
A reminder that we are a ‘nut-free’ school. We DO NOT allow nuts of ANY kind in ANY form! Please ensure there are no nut products in your child’s lunch boxes for example: peanut butter sandwiches, chocolate spreads, cereal bars, some granola bars, This list is not exhaustive, so please check the packaging of products closely.
Packed Lunches
Children may choose to bring a packed lunch to school. This must be in a clearly labelled rigid container.
The lunch must not contain any trace of nuts, sweets, chocolate or drinks. These are discouraged as part of our Healthy Schools Policy.
All children need to bring in a named water bottle whether they have a school meal or a packed lunch.
Breaktime Fruit
EYFS & KS1 children will be provided with fruit/vegetables on a daily basis. This is part of our ongoing work as a 'Healthy School.' The fruit is provided by the National Fruit Scheme. Children can choose to bring in their own fruit in a named container if they wish. Grapes and cherries should be cut into small pieces and de-stoned.
KS2 children are required to bring their own fruit/vegetables for a breaktime snack in a named container if they wish. Grapes and cherries should be cut into small pieces and de-stoned.
Milk
All children under 5 are entitled to free school milk. We have signed up to a company called ‘Cool Milk’ that deliver fresh milk to the school.
If you wish your child to receive a carton of milk each day please complete the registration form online here. Once your child reaches their 5th birthday you can continue with the scheme but will be required to pay for the milk.
